It Turns Out that Many Degenerative Diseases Are Caused by Carbohydrates: Are You Surprised?
Since 1987 and the release of the Glycation Theory of Aging, there are now many published papers that describe the damaging effects of glucose-derived glycation end products:
- diabetes
- obesity
- heart disease
- even osteoporosis
- neurological diseases including bi-polar disorder, alzheimer’s disease, and parkinsons and many others
- aging skin and all body proteins
Glycated Proteins: 5,000 Plus Medical Research Papers Published Since 1984
I Rarely Find Anyone, Lay Public, Medical Doctor, or Scientist Who Has Ever Heard About Glycated Proteins
Why? Because everyone is still stuck on fat and cholesterol.
My mission: to teach you about glycated proteins that arise when a glucose molecule attaches itself to your body’s structural proteins including your DNA and RNA.
Forget cholesterol, that’s old news.
Since the collective wisdom and thinking process ended when cholesterol got blamed for heart disease and other diseases, looking at other possibilities stopped.
Even though all these papers have been published, our policy wonks fail to look at the data.
The Story Behind the Mis-Use of Omega-3 Fish Oil

Omega-3 Fish Oil is a Widely Touted Nutritional Supplement
Unfortunately, the majority of the information regarding this product is, in fact, mis-information.
Further, and more unfortunate, is the fact that many people now supplement their diet with only the omega-3 fish oils rather than the full omega oil complex of essential fatty acids, including omega-6 fatty acids.
Not Well-Known is that There are Two Classes of Omega Oil Essential Fatty Acids: the Omega-3 Family and the Omega-6 Family
The omega-3 family is often in the form of fish oil which contains the nutrient substances EPA and DHA; flax seed oil is another carrier of omega-3 fatty acids. These omega-3 fatty acids contain alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
Recent research has focused on the beneficial effects of EPA and DHA in:
- heart disease
- bipolar disorder
- learning disorders
- attention deficit disorder
The omega-6 fatty acid-omega oil family includes linoleic acid (LA), arachidonic acid (AA), and gamma-linolenic acid (GLA).
The average North American eats a high amount of linoleic acid (omega-6 fatty acids) in processed foods, margarine, and vegetable oils. American diets contain a lot of arachidonic acid in meat, eggs, and some fish.
There are Several Reasons Why Most Nutritionists are Simply Wrong in Their Interpretations About Human Essential Fatty Acids and Omega Oil Needs
First, the normal rate of conversion of linoleic acid to gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), and additional end-products in the metabolic pathway, is relatively slow in humans.
For example, vegetarians consume primarily linoleic acid and consume very few of the down-line essential fatty acids normally produced along the omega-6 pathway.
Again, linoleic acid is poorly converted to GLA.
Contrary to popular belief, within a community of people whose lifestyles are otherwise similar, vegetarians live less long than non-vegetarians, so the reduced supply of GLA may not be beneficial.
The argument goes that linoleic acid is in abundant supply so there’s no need for more omega-6 intake. The failure of this argument is that little of the linoleic converts to the biologically active forms of omega-6 fatty acids.
Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is one of the essential fatty acids in the omega oil family. Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) is found in food and can reverse all the features of the essential fatty acid deficiency.
Omega-6 fatty acids have at least four roles in the body:
- maintenance of cellular membrane structure
- formation of short-lived cellular regulation molecules
- control of skin permeability to water, including the gastro-intestinal tract and the blood-brain barrier
- regulation of cholesterol manufacture
The Omega-6 Fatty Acids Have Been Virtually Ignored, Particularly by Scientists Who Should Know Better!
Deficiencies of omega-6 fatty acids in animals and humans lead to the development of multiple biochemical and biological abnormalities. In contrast, it has proved extremely difficult to demonstrate biological abnormalities in animals deprived only of omega-3 fatty acids.
The important point, here, is that for omega-3 fatty acids to express their normal biological effects, they must be given with omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-6 fatty acids are biologically active when given without omega-3 fatty acids. In human milk and in most tissues of the body, the ratio of omega-6 fatty acids to omega-3 fatty acids is in the range of 3:1 to 9:1.
Diseases Surely Follow an Unbalanced Intake of Essential Fatty Acids
Many factors including:
- aging
- diabetes
- nutritional factors
- stress related hormones
- and viral infections interfere with the formation of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA)
Disease states, such as eczema and premenstrual syndrome, result from impaired linoleic acid metabolism: that is, the production of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) from linoleic acid.
The only solution, therefore, is the direct provision of gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) to by-pass the impaired step.
I’d urge anyone who has received advice to use omega-3 fish oils, alone and without GLA omega-6 fatty acids, to rethink what you’re doing with your esssential oil supplement. Taking fish oil alone is a dietary mistake.

Vibration Exercise Machines are the New Fitness Rage
First designed to reduce bone and muscle loss in astronauts, vibration exercise is now spreading into the fitness community. There’s somewhere around 20 companies making vibration exercise machines. But the public knows almost nothing about them.
At first, the fitness cliubs, movie stars, and sports teams will use them. Right now, in respect to the general public, vibration is a “non-category.” Hardly anyone is asking for them.
But for you, vibration should be a category and these machines are a key strategy for any exercise and weight loss program, particularly among seniors.
Sixteen percent of the population belongs to a health club. Far fewer than that use the club. That means that many people are aging and suffering from disuse syndrome. They enter their sixties hale and hearty and by the time they hit seventy, they’re having a hard time rising from a chair.
Vibration Exercise Should be a Part of Your Daily Life
Vibration exercise is new — brand new. But, it’s powerful and effective, as I’ve shown.
Most manufacturers of vibration exercise machines are marketing to health clubs.
They sell units that cost $10,000 to $15,000.
Why won’t these units work for you?
- they’re monsters, not suitable for the home, and that’s where the unit should be
- these machines vibrate with varying frequencies
- most studies used frequencies ranging from about 20-40 Hz
- health benefits come from using machines that vibrate in these ranges
- some of the big, commercial units, have frequencies that are so high, they’re knock the teeth out of your head
- one of my clients used one of these at a trade show and became sick to his stomach, got a headache, and was dizzy
- certainly we don’t want someone over age 50 on one of these units
The closest home unit made by a good manufacturer that we have seen sells for $2,500. We’ve seen a unit advertised at $400 and with a slashed sale price of $300.
We manufacture vibration exercise machines and we know the specifications that we need to build into the unit to make it comply with the units used in all the research studies.
The thousand dollar plus sellers are taking advantage of an untapped market and the low-ballers are selling junk. We give you a good unit with excellent value and performance at a price that’s good for the home use of vibration technology.
Temple University School of Medicine Trained Me to Uncover Strategies Doctors Could Recommend to Their Patients
That was my goal and their goal: find effective treatments that doctors could use with patients.
My interests lie in exercise and alternative medicine. Doctors know too little about each of these subjects. So, I have to go directly to people with my health messages because you can’t get them any other way.
I’m Interested in Innovation
After I did my research into vibration exercise and vibration exercise machines, I knew I could tie it into my work with diet, weight control, and training. I also knew that my body of work would offer a ground-breaking venue for aging.
As I continued my research, I began to see the relation of this form of exercise to anti-aging.
In contrast to other manufacturers of vibration devices, I had a comprehensive program. The vibration was not a stand-alone item as I tied it to all my other contributions to health development:
- this is totally unique as other manufacturers just manufacture the vibration
- I teach the optimization of health through, diet, exercise, supplements, and training programs
- when you become a student of Dr. Gregory Ellis, I take you by the hand, teaching little-known facts to help make your life better
- I teach you about how to use exercise and diet to really deliver results
- you can’t find any of what I’m offering anywhere else
My Program Focuses on Improving Your Health and Your Quality of Life
My complete Program is what I’m all about. Yes, I have great books and content teaching you important facts that you just can’t find anywhere else.
My Program is extensive and I offer vibration exercise, books, and nutrition supplements:
- one of my partners is responsible for manufacturing the vibration device
- we have more than 1,000,000 square feet of manufacturing capacity in Taiwan and China
- we have large amounts of warehousing space in the U. S.
- I’ve written 9 books altogether including the quintessential book on weight control, Ultimate Diet Secrets and its pared-down version Ultimate Diet Secrets lite
- we have the Caltrac which tracks the calories you burn all day
- we have Carbtrac, a handheld device for tracking your calorie intake and following how many grams of carbs you ate
It’s so much more than just vibration exercise machines.
So much.
And Targeted Body Systems is your one-stop location to acquire information that will benefit you in ways much greater than just what vibration exercise machines provide.
Most vibration exercise machines are expensive and vibrate too strongly. My home unit has the vibration levels tested in all the research, get yours now.
Glycation: the Cause of Most Degenerative Diseases

Harman’s Free Radical Theory of Aging was the early belief as to the causes of aging.
But the newest theory presented in the mid-1980’s was Dr. Anthony Cerami’s Theory on Glycated Proteins and their effect on aging.
Diabetes is a model of rapid aging. The normal aging process that occurs in non-diabetics accelerates when a person is diabetic. Dr. Cerami focused his initial work on this disease.
Few People Have Heard Anything About Gycation
Dr. Cerami wrote:
“As people age, their cells and tissues change in ways that lead to the body’s decline and death. The cells become less efficient and less able to replace damaged materials.
At the same time, tissues stiffen. For example, the lungs and the heart muscle expand less successfully, the blood vessels become increasingly rigid and the ligaments and tendons tighten.
Older people are more likely to develop cataracts, atherosclerosis, and cancer, among other disorders.
Few investigators would attribute such diverse effects to a single cause.”
It’s Only Recently that the Hazardous Biological Effects of Glycation Have Been Understood
Food chemists from 100 years ago understood the process by which glucose binds to proteins, but biologists were unaware of this process and how it would contribute to disease development.
The chemical reaction was known as the Maillard or browning reaction, the same way meat browns when cooked.
- glycated proteins cause the vast majority of degenerative diseases
- glucose or blood sugar is the offending agent
- diets high in carbohydrates are dangerous
- glucose from carbohydrates binds to tissue proteins, gluing them together
- glucose binds non-enzymatically in a hap-hazard way
- one glycated protein binds to the one next to it and a chain reaction forms
Glucose Also Binds to RNA/DNA, Your Organs, and Blood Vessels
We are all made of proteins that provide our structure and glucose attacks all of them: brain, skin, eyes, organs; everything.
The Medical Establishment is hardly aware of this condition. Patients are encouraged to eat carbohydrates that yield glucose upon digestion. Talk about a dangerous way to eat. Eat fat and reduce carbohydrates.
The focus is still on fat. Fat was never the problem, it was always carbohydrates.
Now, the degenerative diseases are increasing exponentially with the rise in carbohydrate intake.
- arthritis
- heart disease
- genetic problems
- diabetes
- heart and blood vessels
- repair and maintenance mechanisms wear and tear
- eyes become damaged
- skin loses its elasticity
- brain tissue deteriorates
- the list of problems caused by glycation is very long and scary
You Can Avoid Glycation by Consuming a Low- or Carbohydrate-Restricted Diet
Thousands of studies prove that glucose isn’t the inert, non-reactive, non-dangerous substance that most biologists believed it was for the last century.
We consume lots of glucose and we’re constantly building the deadly, irreversible glycated protiens driving us to premature disease and death.
This data shows that glucose and glucose-derived glycated proteins are involved in and speed-up the aging process in all individuals.
Glycation is the main reason that I advocate a low- or restricted-carbohydrate diet.
It Makes NO Difference if the Carbs are Processed, Such as White Flour, or Unprocessed Foods Such as Whole Grains
All carbs digest to glucose and fructose, or fruit sugar, is more dangerous than glucose.
You should reduce your carbohydrate intake to maintain good health and slow the aging process.
My books describe glycation in detail and outline the hazards of carbohydrates. They also show how to correctly follow a low-carb diet. The popular Atkins’s program is full of flaws — learn how to eat healthy, stay away from dietetic and medical advice about what to eat. They’ll still living as if it’s the early twentieth century.
